Since 1917, Alfred Clouth Lackfabrik GmbH & Co. and its brand of Clou products have become synonymous to quality.
In our commitment to the community, the environment and future generations, we strive to produce the highest quality products, while dealing responsibly with energy and raw materials.
Sustainability and continuous improvement of Environmental and occupational health and safety, are more than just fashion terms to us. For the past 18 years, since 1997, we have been participating in EMAS. (The EU Eco-Management and Audit Scheme) We have also regularly updated and published our Environmental Statement.
In 2010, the EMAS III regulation regarding requirements to the international environmental standard DIN EN ISO 14001, came into effect. For which we are equally certified.
Not many companies can look back on such a long and continuous EMAS certification.
In addition to EMAS, we are also founding members of the Hessen Environmental Alliance, which commits itself the care and protection of our environment.

CLOU nominated for the German Brand Award 2018

The German Design Council has nominated CLOU for the German Brand Award 2018.
It is awarded for successful brand management in Germany and will be awarded for the third time this year.
Initiated by the German design authority and judged by a top-class panel of experts from business and science, the German Brand Award is well on the way to becoming a must-have for the German brand landscape. It discovers, presents and awards unique brands and brand makers. The special feature: The competition can only be attended by those who are nominated by the German Brand Institute and its expert committees.

The German Design Council is one of the world's leading brand and design competence centers.
